Day 11-14: Goaaaa: Rest, Sea and Quiet Days
A Pause the Journey Needed

After ten straight days of driving, Goa felt like a pause the journey needed.
The days here moved slowly. There was no rush to wake up early or plan routes on the map. Most mornings began with a walk toward the beach, watching the sea slowly come alive with fishermen, walkers, and the occasional tourist looking for a quiet spot.
Meals often meant beach shacks and small restaurants nearby. A cold beer here, a glass of rum there. Nothing planned, just whatever felt right at the moment.
The car, which had carried me across states and highways, finally got a break too. Most drives were short, just exploring nearby stretches of coast or heading out for food. First time since Delhi that it was not needed for anything serious.
One afternoon went into something less exciting but necessary. Laundry. The clothes that had been accumulating since Indore came back neatly folded in plastic bags. Clean clothes felt like a small luxury after days of travel.
Evenings were usually the best part. Sitting at a shack, watching the sun drop into the sea while the breeze from the water carried the sounds of conversation and music from nearby tables.
These few days in Goa were not about seeing places or ticking destinations. They were about slowing down after the miles already covered and preparing for the road ahead.
Soon it would be time to move again. The map was already open.
For now, Goa was simply a place to rest.
